30 Flights in 10 months, Here are 4 Things I learned.

It’s my third year traveling between Middle Eastern and East African countries. I counted the number of flights I took during 2022 so far, and they’re slightly more than 30 flights, making an average of more than three flights a month; this is a high average for post-pandemic business travel.

Well, travel has always been fun for me. This is the lifestyle I have always wanted, jumping from one city to another, region to another in a matter of days. Having this lifestyle suits my personality and work style; in fact, any job that doesn’t lead to boring routines is always a good idea.

Living this life comes with taxes and benifits, no? Here I share with you some of both.

1. You’re Continously Out of of Your Comfort Zone

I love pushing my boundaries to learn, grow, and dramatically expand my network. I wanted to do this 24/7 until I recently noticed that my definition of my very own comfort zone changed completely. Meeting new people daily, pitching new ideas, and introducing myself non-stop is the new routine, followed by frequent dinners and hangouts with colleagues and fellow professionals. You can imagine how exhausting this routine is, especially when you close a chapter moving immediately to another one to initiate something completely different.

2. Comfort Zone Redefined

In a nutshell, my new comfort zone is this rapidly changing environment full of new people, a bigger network, and unique ideas, a place where I accept the fast growth on all levels as well as the unexpected changes in my life habits and interests.

What does it take?! I keep asking myself this question, I guess the answer is the fact that I’m a very flexible person, I do enjoy agile professional environments. My quest is to change for the better and leave more significant and sustainable impacts. What I do today allows me to achieve all.

3. Every City is my Home, Every Space is a Workspace.

Nope! It’s not easy, but being flexible made it possible to accept living anywhere. Jordan, Kenya, and Dubai are now the main stations for me. Each has a different thing to offer; family, love, friends, and work. I love the three places and want to keep roving between them all for some time. Being agile also allowed me to enjoy working from anywhere; you’ll find me working from different offices, from home, by the pool, at a coffee house, etc. I think most of us now fancy working from anywhere.

4. Meeting New People = Faster Access to Life Lessons and Experties

I love meeting new people nonstop. It’s fun! Especially when mixed with work and potential business ideas.

Let me put it differently. I enjoy hanging out with people who have something to share about themselves and their life interests. What’s more interesting than casually learning about real estate, tech-fashion, cryptocurrency, human rights, digital marketing, sustainable tourism, cigar, etc.? Every one of us has access to unique knowledge; crossing paths with a more considerable number of people opens our minds to areas we have never unlocked.

Seeking discomfort is uncomfortable; it’s a decision we make with taxes to pay to get the comfort we need.
